What is Gyrotonic you ask?...
Gyrotonic is a weight-resistance workout system incorporating aspects of yoga, gymnastics and dance.
The physical focus is on core musculature, mobilization and articulation of the joints, and simultaneous stretching and strengthening of the muscles. Breath, mind and body integration play a key role in this system.
Gyrotonic is not Pilates, but there are some superficial comparisons that can be made. The easiest is this: Gyrotonic uses circular and rotational movements instead of Pilates' back and forth, up and down.
